Rudolf Bernhardt was a German jurist who lived from 1925 to 2021, born in Kassel. He represented Germany as a judge on the European Court of Human Rights from 1981 to 1998 and served briefly as the court president from March to October 1998, at the end of his term, before the court's reformed structure came into effect.
