Ronan Keane (born 1932) is a retired Irish jurist who served as Chief Justice of Ireland from 2000 to 2004, after serving as a Supreme Court judge from 1996 and a High Court judge from 1979. Educated at University College Dublin and King's Inns, he became Senior Counsel in 1970, headed the inquiry into the 1981 Stardust fire disaster, and chaired the Law Reform Commission from 1987 to 1992. He has also authored several legal texts on Irish law and contributed to legal system development in post-Cold War Europe.
