Richard Edward O'Connor (1851 to 1912) was an Australian politician and judge who played a crucial role in Australian Federation, serving as Vice-President of the Executive Council and the first Leader of the Government in the Senate from 1901 to 1903. In 1903 he resigned from federal office to become one of the inaugural justices of the High Court of Australia, a court he had helped create through legislation.
