Sir Richard Lyster, who lived from around 1480 until 14 March 1554, was an English jurist who served as Chief Justice of the King's Bench from 1545 until his resignation in 1552. Earlier in his career he served as Solicitor General from 1521 to 1525, as Attorney General from 1525 to 1529, and as Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer from 1529 to 1545. He spent his final years at his residence in Southampton, where he died and was buried at St Michael's Church.
