Ranjan Gogoi is an Indian jurist and advocate who served as the 46th Chief Justice of India from 2018 to 2019 and as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2020 to 2026. He previously served as a judge of the Supreme Court of India from 2012 to 2018, as a judge of the Gauhati High Court from 2001 to 2010, and as a judge and later Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court from 2010 to 2012.
