Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr lived from about 660 to 730, with some sources giving 662 to 728, and was a jurist in early Islam, a grandson of Abu Bakr, the first caliph. The dedicated Wikipedia biography consulted for this entry gives only this brief characterization; a fuller account of his rulings and teaching is a gap left for a later research pass.
