Patrick Grandcourt Kerwin was a Canadian judge born October 25, 1889 in Sarnia, Ontario, who was appointed a puisne justice of the Supreme Court of Canada in 1935 by Prime Minister R.B. Bennett at age forty-five. He was elevated to Chief Justice of Canada in 1954, succeeding Thibaudeau Rinfret, and served in that role until his death on February 2, 1963, a tenure of nearly thirty years on the court in total.
