Nikolas Sigurdsson Paus was a Norwegian nobleman recorded between 1329 and 1347 who served as Lawspeaker of Oslo shortly before the Black Death reached the city. He is thought to have been born in the late thirteenth century and to have come from a family of likely Low German origin that had settled in the region as merchants. He appears under the cognomen Paus and the patronymic Sigurdsson in medieval Oslo records.
