Mireille Delmas-Marty (1941-2022) was a French jurist who served as an honorary professor at the College de France and a member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. Her career centered on criminal justice and international law: she sat on France's Criminal Code Reform Commission, led a commission on criminal justice and human rights, coordinated the European Union's committee of experts on the Corpus Juris project for a European criminal law framework, and chaired the supervisory committee of the European Anti-Fraud Office. She was also named one of twenty five leading figures on the Information and Democracy Commission set up by Reporters Without Borders, and in 2021 she was elected to the American Philosophical Society in recognition of her work advancing international legal standards and criminal justice reform.
