Michael Townley Featherstone Briggs, Baron Briggs, born 23 December 1954 in New Forest, Hampshire, is a British jurist who has served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom since 2 October 2017. Called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1978, he took silk as Queen's Counsel in 1994, served as a High Court judge from 2006 and was elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2013, and is known as one of the foremost active equity judges.
