Mateja Durovic is a Serbian legal scholar whom the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe elected as judge of the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Serbia. He holds an LLB from the University of Belgrade, an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD and a further LLM from the European University Institute in Italy. Before his election to the court he was Professor of Law and Technology and director of the Centre for Digital Law at King's College London, having earlier taught at the City University of Hong Kong, and his scholarship on contract and consumer law has been cited by the Court of Justice of the European Union and the UK Law Commission.
