Mariya Ahmed Didi, born in 1962, is a Maldivian barrister and politician regarded as the first woman to qualify as a lawyer in the Maldives, around 1998, after earning a law degree with honors and a master's degree in law from Aberystwyth University in Wales and qualifying as a Barrister of Gray's Inn in England. She joined the Attorney General's Office of the Maldives and later entered politics, serving as campaign manager for President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the 2018 elections before being appointed the country's first female Minister of Defence.
