Leonardo Nemer Caldeira Brant was born on July 15, 1966 and is a Brazilian jurist and international law scholar who has served as a judge of the International Court of Justice since November 4, 2022. He is also a professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the founder of the International Law Center in Belo Horizonte. He was elected to the International Court of Justice in a 2022 special election to complete the term of Antonio Augusto Cancado Trindade, following Cancado Trindades death.
