Laurence Henry Tribe, born October 10, 1941, is an American legal scholar known for his studies of United States constitutional law. He was a professor at Harvard Law School from 1968 until his retirement in 2020 and now holds the position of Carl M. Loeb University Professor Emeritus. Tribe co-founded the American Constitution Society, wrote the treatise American Constitutional Law in 1978, and has argued before the United States Supreme Court thirty six times.
