John Norton Pomeroy was an American lawyer, writer and law professor. Described as perhaps the most important textbook writer of the last third of the nineteenth century, Pomeroy is regarded as one of the foremost contributors to American jurisprudence, writing on topics ranging from equity to municipal law.
