John Henry de Villiers, 1st Baron de Villiers (15 June 1842 to 2 September 1914) was a Cape lawyer and judge who served as Attorney General in the Molteno government, Chief Justice of the Cape Colony from 1874 to 1910, and the first Chief Justice of the Union of South Africa from 1910 until his death in 1914. As the country's most senior judge for forty of its formative years, he is considered the most influential judge in South African history.
