Johan Thyren (1861-1933) was a Swedish jurist and academic. He was professor of criminal law at Lund University from 1894 to 1926 and served as the university's vice chancellor from 1916 to 1926, and his scholarship was influential in the reform of Swedish penal law. From 1926 to 1928 he served as Sweden's Minister of Justice under Prime Minister Carl Gustaf Ekman.
