Jerzy Michal Makarczyk lived from 1938 to July 30, 2025 and was a Polish lawyer. He represented Poland as a judge on the European Court of Human Rights from 1999 to 2002, and was appointed a judge from Poland to the European Court of Justice on May 11, 2004, serving until 2009.
