Jacques Martin Mezard, born December 3, 1947, is a French lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the Constitutional Council since his appointment by President Emmanuel Macron on March 11, 2019. He served as a French Senator for Cantal across 2008 to 2017 and 2018 to 2019, as Minister of Agriculture and Food and then Minister of Territorial Cohesion in 2017 and 2018, and earlier practiced law and taught at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
