Iulia Antoanella Motoc is a Romanian judge and international law expert who has served as a judge of the International Criminal Court since 11 March 2024, the first Romanian judge elected to that court. Born on 20 August 1967, her earlier career included service as a judge of the European Court of Human Rights from 2013 to 2023, as a judge on Romania Constitutional Court from 2010 to 2013, as a professor at the University of Bucharest, as United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Democratic Republic of Congo, and as vice-president of the UN Human Rights Committee.
