Abu Muhammad Abd al-Haqq ibn Ghalib, known as Ibn 'Atiyya, was an eleventh-century Sunni Andalusian scholar remembered as a prominent Maliki jurist as well as a hadith traditionist, grammarian, linguist, poet, and bibliographer. He was considered the foremost Quran commentator of his time, a reputation resting chiefly on his celebrated commentary, the Tafsir Ibn Atiyya.
