Ibn al-Hajib, born Jamal al-Din Abu Amr Uthman ibn Umar ibn Abi Bakr al-Maliki, was a Kurdish grammarian and jurist who earned a reputation as a prominent Maliki faqih. His legal scholarship placed him among the notable jurists of the Maliki school.
