Hanafy Ali El Gebaly was born in 1949 and is an Egyptian politician who has served as president of the Egyptian parliament, the House of Representatives, since October 2020, and served as the 12th speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt from 2021 to 2026. He previously served as chief justice of the Supreme Constitutional Court.
