Georghios Pikis, who lived from 22 January 1939 to 29 January 2026, was a Cypriot judge born in Larnaca, then British Cyprus, who served as President of the Supreme Court of Cyprus from 1995 to 2004. He was elected a judge of the International Criminal Court in 2003 for a six-year term, serving from 11 March 2003 to 10 March 2009 and assigned to the Appeals Division after being nominated by Cyprus and appointed by the Assembly of States Parties. He also sat as an ad hoc judge of the European Court of Human Rights and was a member of the United Nations Committee against Torture.
