Georg Schwarzenberger (1908-1991) was a German-born international law scholar who emigrated to Britain and taught at the University of London from 1938 to 1975. His major work, Power Politics: A Study of International Society, went through multiple editions and examined international law's relationship to power politics and international society, distinguishing his scholarship from that of other realist theorists of his era through its sustained focus on international law itself.
