Gediminas Sagatys is a Lithuanian jurist who served as a judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania from 2013 to 2024, while holding academic posts at Mykolas Romeris University from 2004, rising to partnership professor at its Institute of Private Law from 2017 to 2024, and serving as president of the Association of Judges of the Republic of Lithuania from 2021 to 2024. He has been a certified trainer for the Council of Europes HELP programme for legal professionals since 2019. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe elected him Lithuanias judge at the European Court of Human Rights on 23 January 2024 for a nine-year term, and he took office on 16 April 2024.
