Frederic Krenc is a Belgian jurist born on 11 May 1978 in La Louviere. He studied law at UCLouvain and at Ghent University, and practiced as an attorney specializing in human rights law before his judicial appointment, publishing on European human rights law and speaking at academic and professional conferences on the European Convention on Human Rights. He was elected by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as Belgiums judge at the European Court of Human Rights for a nine-year term and was sworn in on 13 September 2021.
