Eduardo Garcia de Enterria (1923 to 2013) was a Spanish legal scholar regarded as a founding figure of modern Spanish administrative law. He joined the Spanish Council of State in 1947, became professor of administrative law at the University of Valladolid in 1957 and later led the law department at the Complutense University of Madrid, founding and directing the journal Revista Espanola de Derecho Administrativo. He also served as the first Spanish judge on the European Court of Human Rights, from 1978 to 1986.
