David Mills was a Canadian politician, author and jurist born March 18, 1831 in Orford Township, Upper Canada, who was elected to Parliament in 1867 as a Liberal member for Bothwell, served as Minister of the Interior from 1876 to 1878 and Minister of Justice from 1897 to 1902, and was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 1896. He was appointed a puisne justice of the Supreme Court of Canada in 1902 and served until his death on May 8, 1903.
