Constantine Harmenopoulos (1320 to about 1385) was a Byzantine jurist of Armenian descent who served as katholikos krites, or universal judge, of Thessalonica, one of the highest judicial offices in the Byzantine Empire. Between 1344 and 1345 he compiled the Hexabiblos, a six volume digest of Byzantine law drawn from earlier legal sources, which was first printed in Paris in 1540 and was later adopted as the interim civil code of the newly independent Kingdom of Greece in 1828.
