Conor Maguire (1889-1971) was an Irish judge and politician who served as Chief Justice of Ireland from 1946 to 1961. Born in Claremorris, County Mayo, and educated at University College Dublin and King's Inns, he practised as a barrister in County Mayo and played a role in establishing the early Republican Courts. He served as Attorney General of Ireland from 1932 to 1936, President of the High Court from 1936 to 1946, and as a Teachta Dala for the National University constituency from 1932 to 1936 for Fianna Fail, before his appointment to the Supreme Court and the office of Chief Justice.
