Cláudio de Jesus Ximenes is a Timorese jurist born in Ermera in western Timor-Leste and educated at the University of Lisbon. He was first appointed President of the Court of Appeal, Timor-Leste's highest court and Supreme Court of Justice, in 2003, and was subsequently reappointed to further terms in the role, serving until 2014. He has also served as President of the Superior Council for the Judiciary of Timor-Leste.
