Christopher John Baker, who lived from July 9, 1958 to August 4, 2023, was an Australian solicitor and politician. Before entering parliament as the member for the newly created seat of Joondalup in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, serving from 1996 to 2001, he was a barrister, solicitor and proprietor of a law firm, practicing in Darwin, Katherine and Esperance in the late 1980s and later running Chris Baker and Associates. He was a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, and also served as a councillor for the Town of Port Hedland, the City of Joondalup, and the City of Wanneroo.
