Charles Hay Cameron (1795-1880) was a British jurist. Born in London to an aristocratic Scottish family, he became the first member appointed to the Law Commission of India in 1835 and later served as the fourth member of the Council of India from 1843, working alongside Thomas Babington Macaulay on the drafting of India's penal code and advocating for expanded English-language education for Indians. He later retired to Ceylon, where he died at the age of eighty-five.
