Basilides was a Byzantine official who served under Emperor Justinian I. He was a member of the commission that created the Corpus Juris Civilis from 528 to 529, and went on to serve as praetorian prefect of Illyricum in 529, deputy magister officiorum in January 532, quaestor sacri palatii following the Nika riots of 532, and magister officiorum from March 536 to November 539, during which tenure he also held an honorary consulship. Nothing further is known of him after his time as magister officiorum ended.
