Arturo Fernando Zaldivar Lelo de Larrea, born in 1959, is a Mexican jurist who served as a member of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation from 2009 to 2023 and as its President from 2019 to 2022. Before his appointment to the court he spent twenty five years in private legal practice and taught constitutional law at institutions including the Escuela Libre de Derecho and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and he founded and served as Vice President of the Mexican Institute of Constitutional Procedure. A recognized expert in Mexican constitutional and amparo law, he authored Towards a New Amparo Law and more than seventy essays in specialized legal journals.
