Arrianus was a Roman jurisconsult of uncertain date who most likely lived under the emperor Trajan. Some scholars have suggested he may be identical with the orator Arrianus who corresponded with Pliny the Younger, or with a financial official named Arrianus Severus. He wrote a treatise on interdicts, portions of which survive only because Ulpian quoted them in his own work, later preserved in the Pandects.
