Anwar Usman was born on December 31, 1956 and is an Indonesian jurist who served as the sixth Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. He was elected to the position on April 2, 2018, replacing Arief Hidayat, having previously served as the fifth Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court. He joined the Court in April 2011, replacing Arsyad Sanusi, after four years as a justice; before that he was a high court judge in Jakarta and had served as Human Resources Manager at the Supreme Court of Indonesia.
