Antonio Pigliaru (1922-1969) was a Sardinian jurist and philosopher. He held a lectureship at the University of Sassari, where he taught the doctrine of the state, and drew on personalist philosophy, Gramscian Marxism and theories of legal pluralism to interpret the social and economic conditions of interior Sardinia through ethical and political frameworks. He is regarded as one of the most significant Sardinian intellectuals of the twentieth century.
