Antonio Cicu was an Italian jurist, born in 1879 in Sassari and died in 1962 in Bologna, known above all for his work on family law. After graduating from the University of Sassari in 1901 he taught rural law before becoming a professor at the University of Bologna, where he developed his theory of the family as a legal institution, a modern reworking of the Napoleonic concept of family. He was a member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.
