Anja Seibert-Fohr is a German jurist and academic born on 3 April 1969 in Giessen, specializing in public law, international law and human rights. She lectured in international law at Heidelberg University from 2002 to 2012, held a professorship at the University of Gottingen from 2013 to 2016, and returned to Heidelberg as a professor in 2016, while also serving on the United Nations Human Rights Committee from 2013 to 2018, including as its vice-president from 2015 to 2017. She was elected Germany's judge at the European Court of Human Rights by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in June 2019 and took office on 1 January 2020, succeeding Angelika Nussberger.
