Ambroise Colin (1863-1929) was a French jurist who, with Henri Capitant, co-authored the Cours elementaire de droit civil francais (1914-16), one of the standard textbooks of French civil law education. The work was later expanded into the multi-volume Traite de droit civil de Ambroise Colin et Henri Capitant, revised after his death by Leon Julliot de la Morandiere, and it remained a leading reference in French legal teaching for generations.
