Ali ibn Ziyad al-Tarabulsi al-Absi (died 799) was an 8th-century Muslim jurist from Tripoli in present-day Libya and an important early scholar of the Maliki school of Islamic jurisprudence. A companion of Imam Malik ibn Anas, he was responsible for bringing Malik's Muwatta to Ifriqiya, helping establish Maliki law across North Africa. He is buried in the Silsila Cemetery in Tunis.
