Albert Clements Killam (1849-1908) was a Canadian lawyer, politician and judge born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1872 and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1877 before relocating to Winnipeg in 1879. He was elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly as a Liberal in 1883, appointed to the Court of Queen's Bench of Manitoba in 1885, and became Chief Justice of Manitoba by 1899. Nominated by Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier, he served on the Supreme Court of Canada from August 8, 1903 to February 6, 1905 as the first judge from Western Canada to sit on that court, then resigned to become Chief Commissioner of the Board of Railway Commissioners, a post he held until his death in 1908.
