Al-Qadi al-Nu'man was an Isma'ili jurist, hadith scholar, and the official historian of the Fatimid Caliphate. His title of Qadi al-Qudat, meaning judge of judges, records his standing as the chief jurist of Isma'ili law under the Fatimids.
