Al-Barzanji, in full Abd al-Karim al-Barzanji, was a Kurdish Sunni Shafii jurist who lived from 1716 to 1764 and served as the Shafii mufti of Medina. He came from the Shahrizor region and belonged to the Kurdish Barzanji tribe.
