Aisha Shujune Muhammad, born December 23, 1977, is a Maldivian jurist and judge who earned her law degree through the University of London's external programme at the Royal Institute in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a master's degree in law from the University of Western Australia in Perth. She began her career as an associate partner at Nasheed and Co Law Practice in 1997, and in 2007 became, alongside Huzaifa Mohamed, one of the first two female judges in the Maldives, a post from which she resigned in 2015. From 2011 to 2018 she served as vice chair and rapporteur of the United Nations Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture, later returning to that role in 2025 after chairing its work on national preventive mechanisms from 2021 to 2024. On September 4, 2019, she was sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Maldives, becoming, alongside Azmiralda Zahir, one of the first two women to serve on that court.
