Abu al-Walid al-Baji, full name Sulayman ibn Khalaf al-Baji, was an eleventh century Sunni scholar from Beja in al-Andalus. He was an eminent Maliki jurist, a hadith master, a theologian, a poet and a man of letters, known as an accomplished debater and a prolific writer across many fields of scholarship. He and Ibn Hazm were counted among the two most important literary figures of eleventh century al-Andalus.
