Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak was an eighth-century Sunni Muslim scholar and Hanafi jurist who lived from 726 to 797. He was known by the honorific title Amir al-Muminin fi al-Hadith, commander of the faithful in hadith, reflecting his standing as both a jurist and a leading traditionist of his era.
