Duan Jielong is a Chinese jurist and diplomat who has served as a judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea since 2020, elected with 149 of 166 votes among the states parties to the tribunal. Before his election he served as China's ambassador to Hungary, and he holds law degrees from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, China Foreign Affairs University and Columbia Law School.
